Stop fake signups

About 1 in 8 form signups use a disposable email. Each one is an account you can never reach.

One API call

Add one call to your signup form. Fidro checks the address against this list, plus the IP and the network, and answers in under 200ms.

Updated daily

New throwaway services appear all the time. This list is refreshed every day, so the API keeps up without you doing anything.

What are disposable email domains?

Disposable email domains (also called temporary, throwaway or burner email) give anyone a short-lived inbox without registering. Services like Mailinator, Guerrilla Mail and Temp Mail hand out random addresses that disappear after minutes or hours.

For the person using them, they're a privacy tool. For you, they're a problem: people use them to claim your free tier more than once, open extra accounts, get past email verification, and then vanish. To check a single address, try the free email checker.

What a throwaway signup costs you

Every throwaway signup costs you something: servers to run their account, rows in your database, onboarding emails to an inbox that no longer exists. They inflate your user numbers with accounts that will never pay, and they open the door to free-tier abuse. One person can open dozens of accounts, each on a different disposable domain, to claim a trial again and again.

The list never stops growing. New services launch all the time, and existing ones rotate their domains to slip past old blocklists, so a list you copied last month is already missing some. That's why Fidro refreshes its list every day and checks it through the API: your signup form stays current without any manual work.

How to block disposable emails in your app

Check the address where it enters your product: the signup form, checkout or a lead form. Send it to Fidro's validation endpoint before you accept it. The API checks the domain against this list and returns a risk score and an allow, challenge or block recommendation in under 200ms.

For people already in your database, run them through the bulk email checker to find accounts made with throwaway addresses, then ask them to verify a real email or limit what they can do. For more detail, read our guide to detecting disposable emails in your signup flow.

Common disposable email providers

Some of the best-known services you'll see in this list:

  • Mailinator - one of the oldest services, offers public inboxes that anyone can read without a password
  • Guerrilla Mail - generates random addresses with a one-hour lifespan, popular for quick signups
  • Temp Mail - slick UI that auto-generates addresses, widely used for trial abuse
  • 10 Minute Mail - addresses expire after exactly 10 minutes, just long enough to verify
  • ThrowAwayMail - no-frills service with a 48-hour inbox window
  • YOPmail - persistent public inboxes (no expiry), often used for automated bot signups
  • Dispostable - allows custom usernames, making addresses look more legitimate
  • Maildrop - open-source alternative with public and private inboxes

Most of these run several domains, and new ones appear constantly, which is why a static blocklist falls behind. Browse the list below, or look up any domain with the domain checker.

Common questions

How many disposable email domains are in this list?

Every domain Fidro uses to flag disposable emails is here, and the same list powers the API. It is refreshed every day as new services appear, so the count keeps changing.

Is this disposable email list free to use?

Yes. You can browse and search it for free. To block disposable emails automatically, Fidro's free plan includes 200 validations a month, and paid plans start at $29 a month for 5,000.

How do I check if an email is disposable?

Search for the domain above, or paste the full address into the free email checker. It also checks the address format and the domain's mail server, and gives you a risk score.

What is the difference between disposable and temporary emails?

There isn't one. Disposable, temporary, throwaway and burner email all mean the same thing: a short-lived address made for one-off use. Most expire within minutes or hours.

How often is this list updated?

Every day. Fidro imports the latest list daily, and the website and the API use the same data, so a new domain shows up in both at the same time.

Can I download this list?

We recommend the API instead of a download. Static copies go out of date quickly because new disposable domains appear all the time, while the API always checks the current list.
